As a girl who grew up on the mission field, I have an even greater appreciation for getting the church and the family involved in getting to know missionaries and learning how to support and pray for them! The great thing about this type of outreach is that it is a useful, impactful, and highly doable ministry for the entire family – old and young alike!
If you read my article, “10 Practical Ways to Reach Out to Missionary Kids,” then you will see that some of the important ways to reach out to visiting missionaries is to talk to them, ask questions, and keep their prayer cards in order to make them feel welcome as well as broaden your scope and knowledge of who they are and what they do!
This new free printable I have created will help you and your children to put these things into practice the next time a missionary visits you and/or your church! You can choose to have the children either go up to the missionaries themselves and gather information for this little flyer or fill it out during the missionary’s presentation.

Here are some other options for how to use it:
- Hand out these sheets, and have the children fill them out while the missionary is presenting to the class.
- Hand them out before the church service, and have the children fill them out during the main presentation and bring them back to class to show you and each other.
- Have the children take them home, fill them out about a missionary of their choosing (may take some parent-guided research), and bring them back to the next Sunday school meeting.
- You, as the parent/teacher, find a missionary video for your children to watch, and then the children can fill out these cards as a mini quiz/review sheet.
However you choose to use this free printable, they are such cute, practical cards which encourage personal attention and ownership of the missionary that is presented to the children! Having to fill out this information or go up and ask for a signature will further plant these facts and people into their little hearts and minds, and will hopefully grow their appreciation and love for missions, missionaries, and the spreading of the gospel all over the world!
